No actually, I think Nebraska would much rather be facing him than Colt McCoy too. I watched that suckfest of a game, he threw a pass 60 yards downfield to a guy that was completely uncovered. haha they got a lot of pressure on him....he just ESCAPED it...for goodness sakes, he had a man on his back when he made the pass

and who would you take when there's 9 seconds on the clock in a tie ballgame and you need to go 70 yards?

the man makes plays, period...why would VT need to throw the ball 30+ times when we've had backs like Evans and Williams...it'd be a little dumb to try and air out it all game

VT has never been a team to throw a lot...Beamer has always been an old-school hardnosed run game type of coach

so for the amount of opportunities Taylor was given, he had one heckuva season, whether Ironlung thinks so or not

Yep, it's just me jackass. 10 out of 12 weeks on here and other VT message board there's messages from VT fans on how much he sucks. Nebraska would rather have him than any of the others on that list because that was the 1 time out of 20 he might have been able to bring a team back throwing the ball. The way Nebraska played that last drive had as much if not more to do with why they lost that game.

No. He will never be a good qb, because he's not a qb. He can have a good college year next year though. If he does, and VT doesn't lose to some half assed bottom dweller of the ACC and they beat Boise, they have a chance at an undefeated season. If he has a season next year like he had the last 4 games of this year, he will have had a good year. He'd better have a good year playing qb next year, because it's the last year he'll be playing that position if he ever plays the sport again.

9 seconds in a tie ballgame, I want a guy like Tebow, McCoy, McElroy, a proven passer who has ice water in his veins.

TT has the last part down, but the first part not so much

even you have to admit NEB left a guy WIDE open, any college QB can make that pass.
the sequence before was impressive, but the throw was not.

Kenny Hall really impressed me yesterday filling in for Chism. Chism sure got 2 cheap foul calls. The one before the half was just dumb on Chisms' part.

OK VT vs the Huskers TT was 12-27 192 yds and a TD with 0 ints. 9 rushes for -22
Colt vs the Huskers was 20-36 184 yds 0 TD and 3 int. 17 rushes for -20

Sooo which game was a suckfest? At least Talylor contributed to the win with a TD pass, Colt threw 0 with 3 picks. Neither burned it up against a good Husker D. Both came away with 1 point wins. :rolleyes: Heck Colt tried to throw a ball OOB's and almost lost the game. At least VT could get a WR open to catch a pass! I'm not saying TT is a world beater but when you compare him with the Mighty Colt it looks as though both were fairly even against the same D.

Like I said, he operates very well in the role BEAMER wants him to have. Run heavy with the stable of backs VT has, throw enough to keep the D honest, plain and simple. Jerry Claiborne lives!!

L'Ville is blowing their chance to pull off this upset against Nova, 86-83, they got the ball and did what? Had the usual hero trying to shoot the three and tie it up, instead of looking inside for a higher percentage and possible and-1...much better chances than popping off NBA 3's. Luckily, Nova missed both FT when they were down at the other end.

Another dumb 3 attempt that missed and turned into 2 at the other end, now 88-83, hate dumb basketball.
